STUPID INSECTS!!!

I hate insects! Don’t really know if I had offended these insects in my past life or what?! They just happen to bite me wherever I go :-L *frustrated*

Just now I was sitting here doing my things, suddenly a painful feeling came from my right hand, the part above my elbow. My first thought was “Shit, must be some insect bite me again!” But that insect just “run away” after biting me, leaving me searching up and down for it *ANGRY*

Even until now my hand is still in pain. The wound seems a bit greenish in the center *geli* Help!

If…I mean if --- I am the Emperor of this World, I’ll definitely ensure that all these irritating insects get what they deserved --- disappear from this lovely world of mine. Perhaps I’ll deploy some special troops to hunt them down :>

Gosh, my hand is in pain! Don’t know what kind of insect is that?!! Leaving such a big biting impact X-(

Never ever let me see it again, else I will……Here’s some suspense for you guys to figure out *grin* No prizes for those who guess it correctly though :p

Arrival of Mr. Rain

Last night Mr. Rain have paid a sudden visit to this land of drought, without any prior notice *grin* Along his honorable arrival were his fellowship members --- Ms. Lightning and Mr. Thunder.

Those two had woken me up from my comfort dreamland with the lightning flashes and the fierce thunder roaring. As my monitor is placed beside the window, it’s easily being showered by Mr. Rain :p Thus, I had to come down from my upper deck to close the windows. The time was 4:44 in the early morning :> Wondering why I knew it exactly? It’s because I’ve had a glance at my handphone’s clock just before I continue to sleep :)) wahahaha *a little bit of insanity*

Anyhow, I’ve had a very cooling sleep. I can felt the cool wind blowing towards me. Though it’s quite freezing, but it’s obviously better than heat :D

Hopefully Mr. Rain will pay a constant visit every now and then! Do bring along the two companions of yours :>

Mr. Haze’s Visit

Yesterday morning when I woke up, I was stunned by the view outside my window --- I thought there were clouds outside my window *faint faint* It was so hazy that it looked almost white, seems like snow in winter time. I thought I had woken at other place, instead of my upper-deck’s bed in my hostel room; in heaven perhaps *touch wood* :))

When I breathed, I can smell the burning smell, heavily. It was that serious you see!! Although it’s been a few days of Mr. Haze’s visit, but today’s morning was the worst! Luckily there was a little Rain Boy to shoo some part of Mr. Haze away :p

The reason to this haze’s phenomena is due to the hundreds of hotspots in Peninsular Malaysia. These peat fires have caused the air-quality to deteriorate dramatically and weather became super duper hot and dry. *torturing* This drought has been estimated to continue till end of March, when inter-monsoon brings the long-awaited Mr. Rain :)>- Yeah, let Mr. Rain shower the “fire-ball”--- Mr. Earth!!

Hey Mr. Rain, we can’t wait any longer, faster comes in cats and dogs’ way :p

~~Relax! Steal a few private moments for deep breathing.~~

P/s: without breath in the haze =))

Lalalaaalalalaala…

Just now went to library with Won, after having our dinner at HB4. At first we thought that library would be very crowded, since midterm exam is around the corner. But, out of our expectation, the library was quite empty when we reached there :)>-

I started to read my Data Communications notes, while Won listened to her MP3 and studied her notes as well. We both just concentrated on our notes. Sometimes, I’ll look around at the people who were passing by, as I’m too bored of the notes :p Once in a while, we both chatted a bit.

By the time I stepped out from the library, I only managed to finish Part 1 of Chapter 1 (there are total 4 parts) :”> But I considered it as quite fast already, as I’m a well known “tortoise” among my friends, hehe…

Back to hostel at about 10pm. Then, I’m just sitting here, browsing the net. Eventually, my playlist has been added with a few nice songs, wahahhaahahha :)) So happy \:D/

But, what has been waiting ahead of me are dozens of assignments to be submitted, and not to forget, lab reports and midterm tests #:-S whew! And, all the due dates are approaching shortly, namely 25th Feb and 4th March (lab reports submissions); 26th Feb, 1st & 8th March (midterm exams); 18th & 28th Feb, 4th & 18th & 23rd March (assignments submissions). *Fainted. See stars!* 8-} God help!!

Alright, continue next time. Good night everyone! Pray for me please, thanks a million and billion :p

BACK!

Here I am, back in Cyberjaya again. Poor us, it’s just the fifth day of the Chinese New Year, and we had to leave our lovely home already. I don’t even get the chance to attend my grandma’s birthday gathering tonight :( I want ang paos!! The more the merrier \:D/ Oopss, should be the more the better :> hehe

A brief information about the current Chinese New Year : 2005 is a Rooster year, according to the Chinese lunar calendar. The rooster represents tenacity and self-confidence. Alright, I’ll cut the “crow” about the Chinese New Year :p

Feeling very bored now. Alone in my room; both my roommates haven’t come back yet. Don’t feel like studying either. So decided to just sleep!

But before that, I wish to blog for a while, after my last article 7 days ago. I’m feeling very nice when I’m thinking, typing and posting an article. There’s plenty of satisfactory and happiness right from my heart. It’s enjoyable! *syok sendiri, paiseh :”>* After all, that’s how different individual made themselves happy, right?? To seek happiness from the simplest things --- which is easy to say, hard to do *wink*

Okay, time to sleep, good night or day guys! Stay cheerful. GoNg Xi Fa CHai! Hung Pao(s) Na Lai >:) kakakakkaka...

Yeah…Going Home!

Now is 3:52am early in the morning. Later I’ll be boarding the flight at 12:30 noon to go back my hometown, Kuching. Together with me will be Won, Yinghan and Carol.

I’m very eager to see my family again. Since I came back here on last 19 Dec, it’s been almost 2 months I’ve apart from them.

I’ve finished packing earlier. Just now was busy blogging :> I managed to finish my articles about Worlds, really glad :)>-

Going home for Chinese New Year celebration is certainly a very enjoyable thing. During New Year, I get to eat a lot of delicious cookies, cakes etc. Raymond, I’m hunting for your cookies, muahahahha =))

I better go to sleep now, else tomorrow I’ll miss my flight of oversleeping :p

Happy Chinese New Year guys!!

4th January 2005 : Last Day @ Check Out!

At 7 something, me and Joanne walked to Grand Seasons Hotel (GSH) to continue the T-shirt Counter, while Hanni stayed at KLI accompanied Won.

Dengz was helping out at the counter. Later, Syark, Gabe and Pam came. Then, we saw Yauheni, a debater from Russia who stayed in KLI as well.

We: “Are you coming to take your T-shirt?”
Yauheni: “Oh no, I’ve took it yesterday night. Just came here to say good bye to a friend. You borrowed your handphone to me yesterday night, remembered? (look at me)”
Me: “Oh ya right.”

Actually last night I’ve borrowed my handphone to him for texting messages, as the phone card he bought to make international calls is being rejected by the people there.

Yauheni: “I gave him this phone card (showing it to us), but he screwed me up. You can have it if you want. By the way, can I borrow a handphone to text message?”
Me: “Ya, sure.”
Yauheni: “I will pay you.”
Me: “Nevermind. It’s okay.”

Back to here. Me and Joanne requested to take a photo with him.
We: “Can we take a photo with you?”
Yauheni: “Yeah, sure. (smiling)”

(R-L): Me, Yauheni, Joanne :)

We received Won’s call, asking us to look for Mike’s sun glasses. But, we can’t find it. Won told us that Mike was so sad of losing his sun glasses. *poor thing*

Went back to KLI at noon. Joanne went back to Cyberjaya first, while me and Won sleeping like pig :p At about 3:30pm, Dengz fetched us (Francis, Hanni, Won, Kenneth and I) to Nando’s. Then, Dengz sent Kenneth to KTM.

We’re back to KLI at 5:45pm, partly because I insisted to see Mike they all right before they went back to Croatia. The airport limousine will come to KLI to fetch them at 6pm. Dengz, Francis and Won went to GSH after dropping me and Hanni at KLI.

We found Mike, Miles, Laura and Ozzy at the hotel lobby. I talked with Miles and he still kept on putting up that smiley charming face. Ozzy handed me a souvenir, and also another one for Joanne. Hanni, Won and Francis had gotten their souvenirs in the morning.

Then, Mike walked over and say farewell to me. I really really feel like hugging him, but I had no guts after all :-<
Mike: “Hi, how are you? (Shaked my hand)”
Me: “Hi, I’m fine.”
Mike: “You guys are really nice to us. Do take care okay?! (wink at me)”
Me: “Okay, same to you. (smiling) Safe journey later.”
Mike: “Do come to Croatia and we’ll be your tour guide.”
Me: “Sure.”

Why am I just giving out those short answers?! Baka neh…b-(

It’s time to really say good bye. They went downstairs and we stayed there watching their back gone into the lift. *sad sad*

3 January 2005 Night : Traffic Light Party @ Liquid

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Let’s party till the end of the day!

We (Francis, Won, Hanni, Joanne, Jay and me) walked to Liquid from KL City Hall for the Farewell Party a.k.a. Traffic Light Party. Upon every entry into Liquid, each person will have to choose a glowstick to wear on wrist. There were 3 colors of glowstick:
Green – Available
Yellow – Unsure/Confused
Red – Not available
These colors indicate your status *wink wink*

I grabbed a red glowstick and a liquor coupon, hehehehe :> After finishing a cup of Vodka + Honey, I felt a bit dizzy 8-} So, I tried to cool myself down by standing aside, with wind blowing on my face; plus some chit-chatting with Hanni and Iponk (a debater from Indonesia). Ahhh…finally I’m awake ;)

Oh yeah, I’ve been to the toilet in Liquid. Some of you might have this in your mind now: “Cheh, what so special about the toilet?!” Tell you what, it’s a unisex toilet! And, there were no doors, only red curtains. Yes, RED curtains and RED lights, making the whole toilet becomes “RED Toilet” :p Quite freaky actually…

Me and Jeremy(last year's World Champion) at Liquid

At don’t know when and how, we all gathered and decided to go upstairs to have a look at the dance floor. And so, we all went up there, except Won who was having her own fun downstairs *grin* Wana know more? Go visit her blog, muahahahaha >:)

We danced and had our own fun for about half an hour, then had to leave early (about 12:30am) as we had to go back Grand Seasons Hotel (GSH) to distribute participants’ T-shirts. We reached GSH at bout 1am and started our job. We’ve took a picture with Laura from Croatia at the T-shirt counter, she’s so tall :O

Laura and us :D

Joanne, Hanni and I went back to KLI first at 3 something, left Won and Francis at the counter. We’ll be taking the early shift at 7am tomorrow.

3 January 2005 : Semifinals -> Grand Finals -> Official Closing Ceremony

Semifinals will be held at KL Tower at 10am. We (Won, Francis, me, Joanne & Hanni), the LD team were incharged of it; thus we departed from KLI (KL International Hotel) at 7 something after having our breakfast. We took monorail from Chowkit to Bukit Nanas. A small incident happened though: we accidentally left Joanne in the train when we went down :p After meeting up with her, we walked for quite a long distance headed towards KL Tower. Reached KL Tower’s main entrance, we had to climb two high stairs and took a few turns to really reach KL Tower, as the shuttle bus services haven’t started at this early.

Met up with Ms Sooky, Event Manager of KL Tower and went up Megaview to have a look at the Semifinals venue. The venue was so nicely decorated and the KL views from there are fantastic *must visit!* Then, I asked help from Ms Sooky to get a computer with Internet access, so that I can settle my Malaysia’s Book Of Records (MBR) matters i.e. email Ms Suja (MBR’s Officer) the details regarding the record we’re applying – Largest Debating Tournament. Meanwhile, the other four were busy doing participants’ registration and arranging the participants to go up to the Megaview.

After finishing my stuffs, I went up Megaview and planned to have a nice time ;) Who knows I suddenly received a call from MBR saying that their server is down @_@ I have no choice but to sms Ms Suja the details and told her verbally as well. She confirmed with me that Datuk Danny, Managing Director of MBR will be coming to the Official Closing Ceremony tonight at KL City Hall to present the Mock Certificate.

Sitting(R-L): Francis, me @ Flo

After Semifinals ended, five of us and cgpa went to McD for lunch. On our way back to KLI, MBR office called me again and asked me to go to their office to collect the Mock Certificate, as Datuk Danny will straight away go to KL City Hall without going back to MBR.

Francis drove me to MBR at about 3:30pm using Alex’s car. Meanwhile, shuttle buses at KLI had already departed to KL City Hall. Before that, I handed the pen and pen holder to Joanne, asking her to pass it to Ms Mazwan for closing ceremony’s rehearsal purposes.

Ms Suja handed me the Mock Certificate, together with a shocking news --- Datuk Danny is still on the other function and unable to attend; even Ms Suja herself also has something else to do. Meaning ---> I’ve gotten the Mock Certificate, but NO ONE is coming from MBR to present it. Oh my god! 8-} *fainted* Really ma ma mia… My face expressions at that time was shock, shock and still shock :O Perhaps looks pale as well :-&

Me: “(look at Ms Suja) Then how ahh?”
Ms Suja: “Don’t worry. I teach you an option. You just need to ask an usher to bring the Mock Certificate onto the stage for Datuk Shafie (Minister of Higher Education, Malaysia) to sign (as witness), and Datuk Shafie will present it to Prof. Datuk Dr. Ghauth (President of MMU) on behalf of MBR.”
Me: “(nodded) Ohh, okay.”
Ms Suja: “So, don’t worry, it’ll be fine.”
Me: “Okay, thank you very much Ms Suja.”
Ms Suja: “You’re welcome.”

And so, I left MBR office with Francis. I quickly called Ms Mazwan and Evonne telling them about the sudden changes. We reached KL City Hall at about 6pm. The Grand Final is still going on between Ottawa, Hart House, Cambridge and Oxford.

I met up with Ms Mazwan and Ms Ohm, and explained the details about the way to solve the absent of MBR representative matter. And, as predictable, I ended up becoming the usher. Moreover, Ms Ohm had actually “catch” me into the toilet to put up make-up #-o *help* :p

From this moment onwards until the closing ceremony started, I was just nervous like “an ant on a hot wok” --> a direct translation from Mandarin. But, luckily Won was there all the time, accompanied me and comforted me. Thanks a lot pal, love ya, muaksss :-*

Teng Teng Teng Teng…the time has finally come! I slowly walked up the stage when Ms Ohm was signaling me from the opposite side of the stage. Holding the Mock Certificate tightly in my hands, acting steadily; yet I’m actually scared, oh god! After putting the Mock Certificate on the rostrum, I waited for Datuk Shaife to come up. And, you know what, I shaked hand with him, muahahahahhah :)) *syok sendiri* Then, came the President of MMU along. At the moment Datuk Shafie presented the Mock Certificate to Prof. Datuk Dr. Ghauth, basically all the cameras were aiming their way, and my way (I’m standing behind them :p). Those cameras’ flash were so shiny, my eyes hardly focus well, hehe…

After that, I cabut-ed down the stage, acting steadily again :> *luckily I didn’t run down* Won: “Good job, well done. See, you can do it girl (hold my hands and smile at me).” I bet she could feel how cold were my hands :p

We both headed up for the seats upstairs and watched the entire closing ceremony. Telekom Malaysia – MMU Worlds 2005 officially declared END! All dismissed. We went out and I suddenly realized that I haven’t kept the pen and pen holder that I’ve been putting at the rostrum. I rushed back in to get it, but it’s gone! Even until today I still can’t find it :(

2nd January 2005 : Championship Dinner

In the morning, ESL (English as Second Language) Quarterfinal and main Octofinal were held at National Art Gallery. At about 11:30am, the debates finished, thus we boarded and headed towards PWTC. Participants will be having their own lunch around PWTC. They can strolled/walked around as they like :>

Meanwhile, we (Won, Joanne, Francis, me, Dengz, Alex, Kenneth, cgpa, Gabe, Karen, Licky, Diesel, Dan and Santa) went to The Mall to have our lunch. While waiting for our meals to come, Joanne and I accompanied Won to go buy her “long aimed” Simple Plan CD. And, we managed to “talk back” 3 free posters, wahahahaaha :)>- *so called debaters’ tongue >:)*

Went back PWTC at 1:30pm, as the announcement of ESL Quarterfinals’ and Octofinals’ result will be made. While Joanne, Won and I were sitting quietly *leaning on table* at one corner, our Convener, Sumi came and asked us to help Evonne at Six Happiness Restaurant for Championship Dinner. It was 2:30pm and we (Jungle and us) quickly departed from PWTC. But…we went for shopping at The Mall first. I managed to grab a gown and a pair of shoes :))

We rushed back hotel at 3:30pm, and agreed to meet up at 4:30pm at Chowkit monorail. We reached Six Happiness at 5:35pm, 5 minutes late :p The restaurant is inside a shopping complex, 3rd floor. Later on, we helped Jay and Pam to carry cakes, really really huge cakes :p Then, Won followed Pam to get Francis’s laptop for flash presentation, while Jungle, Joanne and I went to have our dinner.

After changing into our gowns, we waited downstairs for participants to come and showed them the way up to Six Happiness. The Championship Dinner started at 8pm, and I sit at the table that nearest to the entrance one. At about 10:30pm, Joanne and I went down to urge the participants onto buses. Then, we went up again to inform them that the buses were leaving soon.

As I was sitting at our table, Mike was leaving and he came over and asked, “Are you coming to Bangkok Jam later?” Me: “Errmm…I’m not sure, but we won’t be back to hotel I supposed, so I guess yeah I’m going.” *wondering what the heck was I talking about 8-}* Mike: “Alrite, see ya then, bye. (wink at me)” *I am drowning in his charisma :”>*

Photo taken during the Championship Dinner, the Girls' Army :>

Jungle drove us (all girls :>) to Bangkok Jam while guys had to walk. However, the four tired people (Won, Francis, Joanne and I) were not going into Bangkok Jam, we’re sitting at the stairs opposite to Bangkok Jam instead *mad*, waiting for Dengz to fetch us back. Francis had accompanied me to stroll in Bangkok Jam for a while, because I wana have a closer look at it. I didn’t see Mike in there though…hehe :p

Reached hotel and as usual “dead in bed” :> Good night everyone!

After test...

Just got back. Just now having midterm exam from 8-9pm. I found out I did wrong for a few questions already :(( Anyhow, I’m more looking forward to go home on this coming Saturday rather than worrying about my result :> No point worrying for something that you knew it’s already a fact right?!

A few days back, I’ve set a lot of things that are to be done after my test. Say for example, continue blogging :> Besides, I also have tons of clothes to wash :p Next, I have to pack my luggage as well, as I’m going back hometown. Moreover, I need plenty of sleeps!!! Being having a bit of sore throat yesterday until now, making me drinking water like a water tank 8-} I’ve even placed a big bottle of water next to my pillow when I’m sleeping. Perhaps I’ve eaten too much of chocolates, drinking too much of coffees, lack of sleeps and lack of drinking water lately :p

Since I’m out of stress now, so I'm definitely gonna enjoy myself to the fullest, straight away until the Chinese New Year, muahahhahaha >:) Currently, the most popular songs in my play list are songs from Simple Plan. Thanks to Swee Won for borrowing me their album :> For me, I think their whole album is very nice. Well, my favorites are these 3 songs: Everytime, Welcome to My Life & Perfect World. Try to catch them up if you have the chance!

Alright, gotta do what I’m planning to do already ---> wash clothes L-) Cool huh?? b-( *guess I'm out of my mind* Before that, keeping all my Control Theory’s notes away from my sight first B-)
